The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing in a breeding program of two distinct parents during the summer of 2003. The crossing was between ‘CJLJ19’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 16,719) and ‘CJLJ24’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 19,306).
The resulting seeds were planted during the following winter. The resulting seedlings were evaluated and exhibited distinctive physical and biological characteristics. The new rose plant was selected as a single plant from the seedling beds due to its superior characteristics.
Asexual reproduction of the new variety ‘CJLJ44’ was performed by vegetative cuttings in Südlohn, Germany. ‘CJLJ44’ has been found to retain its distinctive characteristics and reproduces true to type in successive generations.Day-night differences in levels and pharmacokinetics of tricyclic antidepressants and their major metabolites.
This study was conducted to determine whether the sleep pattern can influence drug absorption, metabolism, and disposition, and to explore the significance of these processes in the elimination of tricyclic antidepressants. The pharmacokinetics of amitriptyline, desipramine, doxepin, imipramine, and nortriptyline were examined in 28 healthy volunteers during the day and during the night. Serum concentrations of amitriptyline and its metabolites were measured by HPLC. The disposition of each drug was altered significantly by the sleep pattern. Amitriptyline exhibited a diurnal variation in the Cmax and AUC. Cmax was 2.8-fold higher during the night than during the day. The AUC of the two metabolites, nortriptyline and imipramine, increased significantly after sleep. The AUC of imipramine, the most active metabolite of amitriptyline, was 4.7-fold higher during the night than during the day. In contrast, the AUC of doxepin, the most active metabolite of desipramine, showed only a moderate increase. The changes in the serum concentrations of nortriptyline and imipramine were relatively small, with no consistent pattern, whereas the serum concentrations of doxepin and amitriptyline changed markedly, with an increase of approximately four- to fivefold.
